Right after school today we (the yearbook staff) counted the ballots for Senior Superlatives. It was a lot of work but it was definitely fun. Super Mouse got a lot of votes for Best Smile and Best Car... Chelsey had a few for Most Bashful, and my Carolyn got a lot for Class Clown and Best Hair. To my surprise, I got a whole lot of votes (and I only voted for myself in the one category I really wanted to win).

Let's see, I didn't quite win, but I was the close runner-up for Most Talented, Most Bashful (I really didn't want THAT one), and Best All-Around Guy. The only thing that threw me off was getting votes for Worst Car when I don't even own a car. Go Figure. John aka "Lucy" won Most Talented (arrrrgh! I thought playing the clarinet, dancing my ass off, being an acrobat and a writer would really help. O well.), Paul won Most Bashful (Way 2 Go!) and I think Gary won Best All-Around Guy. I was shocked that Jeff didn't win cause I really think he deserved Best Personality or Best All-Around. The biggest shock was Stephanie's LANDSLIDE victory in the Most Talented category; Angela got 3 votes, Alexis got 8, Tina got 2, and Stefanie got... a million... and one. Craziness!

Shannon L won Most Irresistable (woo woo!) and Jessica & Ken won Most Unique (very close race for the girls). All in all, I'm happy for most of them, but others were just thrown out randomly and ad nauseum. Ick! After we were done, I powerwalked the embarrassment away, came home, hopped into bed, and turned on an old Carly Simon allbum.

What did I learn? I learned that people notice the strangest, most innate things. My choices for Best Hair (Male), Best Eyes, and Most Kissable Lips were probably strange because I don't really notice those things... unless they're really out of the ordinary. Rice Lady, you have beautiful hair, and Shannon, your smile can always light up a room. Chelsey, others may brush you off as bashful but I see you more as a talented artist.
