Opening Song: The Boy Meets World Theme Song
It was actually a fun day at work, even though I missed the Band's Car Wash/Bake Sale. Today I was teamed up with two hardworking individuals: another guy named James and a sweet 17 year old girl. She just returned to work after being out of the country for two months, visiting her family in Spain. When she asked for permission to ask me a question, I mentally prepared for judgment. "Are you... seeing anyone?" Awww... I was relieved, my faith in people was restored. It's pretty sad when the question I'm always looking out for is "Are you gay?" It's completely understandable; when you're purrty and you're not a slob, you're naturally pegged as "gay."
Also, this guy I've worked with for the past three years asked me how college was going. He's been thinking that I am over 18 since I was a sophomore in high school. Sigh... flattery will get you everywhere with me. That reminded me of an incident involving John; he pointed out my yearbook photo and the first thing he said was, "You have crow's feet!" Talk about pissing me off, I'm not that old, Sonny Gem.
Immediately after work, I walked over to the PX and purchased the Boy Meets World Season One boxed set. Some people thought I worked there (what else is new?) so I helped them with their problems since the actual employees were far too busy.
Around 7:30PM I went the local mall to have a few links removed from my brand spanking new Armitron watch. On my way to Suncoast, someone shouted out my name; it was Little Amanda, waving from inside the elevator. I didn't feel like being spotted tonight-- especially since I was dressed like someone's personal trainer.
Anyway, I went to Suncoast and bought a movie on DVD I had always meant to see, "The Way of the Gun" starring Ryan Phillippe, Benicio del Toro, and Juliette Lewis. BLEEHHH!! Worst $10 dollars I've ever spent; I only needed to watch an hour of it to know where it was going... straight down the toilet.
What did I learn today? "Buyer, Beware": it's very dangerous to buy something that may very well be of low quality. Also, Friday nights are when all the fights break out in the mall.
