Original Air Date: 09.19.04
Opening Song: "Let Your Head Go" - Victoria Beckham

Today was an interesting day at work; half of the managers are being fired because they were slackin' (tisk, tisk) and I thought I spotted Marty. It turned out to be a black man well over 70 with a blue and red plaid shirt, jeans, and a humongous straw hat. Who let him walk out of the house like that??

On my break I walked over to my local clothing store and picked out a couple of pairs of jeans and some "prison inmate" tees (DKNY, Liz Claiborne, JNCO). I scurried over to the dressing room, and of course, as soon as I disrobed, my cell phone rang. And it was Shannon. My phone said it was Super Mouse and I had to assume so because I couldn't hear anything she said.

Like the crazy nutbar I secretly am, I hopped out of the stall, slipped on my sneakers and tossed a long jacket over my half-nekked body. So I ran outside, whipped out my phone and called her back; the connection was still terrible. All I heard was "James...?" and "...English seminar?" "...you do?" As you can understand I was a little confused.

Later I went to the Electronics store and picked up the last copy of Nip / Tuck: The First Season on DVD (best $40 I've spent in a long time!). I haven't been grossed out by the season 2 episodes but I'd never seen any episodes from last year. The pilot alone showed a butt implant (just slicing into that booty *cringe*) and a teenager's attempt to circumcise himself with a pair of cuticle scissors. I'm still in pain from that one.

Ow. What did I learn today? I learned how much I truly care about some of my friends, looking back on how I rushed out of a store without taking the extra minute to fully clothe myself just because I feared that Szuba was in trouble and/or really needed my help (my first thought). *sigh* I also learned that statistically, women with breast implants are twice as likely to commit suicide as women who don't. Good to know.
