Theme Song: "Guajira (I Love You Too Much)" - Yerba Buena
I'm home for Spring Break, so I'm taking this opportunity to catch up on some cable TV. Frankly, I haven't been missing anything! A made-for-TV sequel to one of my favorite movies, The Cutting Edge, is airing on ABC Family tonight. Cutting Edge 2: Going For The Gold stars Christy Carlson Romano aka Ren Stevens as a 14-year-old figure skater with a bad attitude. Seriously, for an ABC Family movie, there was so much "ass," "bitch," and "booze" in it.
Plus, neither D.B. Sweeney (Doug Dorsey) nor Moira Kelly (Kate Moseley) make appearances in the movie... even though their characters are supposedly Christy's parents. Overall, it's exactly what I expect from a straight-to-cable movie. My only question is, "How come Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights was allowed to be in theaters?"
One show I've been following religiously is "Flavor Of Love" on VH1. I'm still shocked by the whole premise: "There are women (or men) in the world who actually WANT to date Flavor Flav? Where do you find these people?" Anywho, during tonight's finale I'm rootin' for my girl, Hoopz, but I'm kinda torn because I don't consider marriage to Flavor Flav to be a prize. When her opponent, New York, revealed that she slept Flavor Flav and said he was a "delicious man" I'll admit, I threw up in my mouth just a little bit. Frankly, I wouldn't touch Flavor Flav with a 10-foot pole. Bleck!
