♫ Spinning Around ♫ (CD4, TR10)

Original Air Date: 03.31.2007
Theme Song: "Spinning Around" - Kylie Minogue

Another year and yet another tradition, the BSU's Fashion Show, is upon us. The special twist this year includes a performance by the BOMB Squad as well as some impromptu dances by Sigma Gamma Rho and... Edmund's fraternity. Last year's DJ, Edmund, has assumed the role of MC and does a pretty good job, even though last year's awesome hostess, Monique, is there in the audience to heckle him the whole time. It's all in good fun, though; we all know that there's just no topping her. But back to the clothes and such, this year's show offers more entertaining scenes including Celebrity LookALikes, Village Kids, and Old School trends. Good stuff.

Two days later, we're at St. Mary's College, sizing up the competition and checking out the stage. We'll be doing the same 5-minute routine here on Wednesday. After a brief sound check and rehearsal and a very uncomfortable line formation (seriously, I know it's impossible, but I swear, the space is so tight, I can feel Imani inside me, LOL), we all sit back, relax, and watch the St. Mary's Dance Club.

Yeah... for a Christian college, those girls are a bit toooo good at sluttin' it up onstage; too bad they make the girls at Gettysburg look like GODDESSES. No joke, I seriously had to ask Kyle if we're expected to bring some $1's to this performance. Is there a cover charge? Where's the champagne room? ;-D Before we leave, Kyle gets a free lapdance and then we all hang out @ Dairy Queen. 72 hours later, it's showtime, we put on a good show--even if it's in front of the most unenthusiastic audience I've ever performed for. The only shock of the evening comes when I get home, finally look in the mirror, and see exactly what Yeny painted on my face (then "fixed" by Carly). No wonder Jackie asked, "Is that a banana?"... I seriously thought she was talking to the girl behind me. Oh well, fortunately, I don't give a fuck about such trivial things as face painting... so, it's all good.

Saturday rolls around and I show up at the Chapel for practice only to find out that we're performing tonight. Luckily, it's just the praise dance, so there's nothing new to learn... but total bummer about dancing barefoot again in that nasty-ass Chapel. *looks down at his crusty, blackened soles* Ick. So, we perform, Applause-Applause, and I still have no idea what that event was... I think it was a private dance for Four Scores, the Gospel choir, and a few parents. *shrugs* Not a clue. Alright, now I'm off to change out of this wifebeater and record some of Michelle's Senior Recital, OW-OW!
