Theme Song: "Wait A Minute" - The Pussycat Dolls
We're dancing WHERE?! In the street... in jeans? Mmmph. Y'know what, I think I'm finally reaching the point where nothing Kyle says shocks me anymore. Anyway, today's the last day of SPRiNGFEST (OW-OW!) as well as BOMB Squad's final performance this year (Awwwww). We meet up @ the Lincoln intersection when we're making a last-minute change of plans. "Shift it to the right! Keep goin'... keep goin..." Damn, this isn't a shift, it's a U-Turn at this point, y'all. While we're shiftin, Beth walks up to me and asks, "Where are you guys are performing?" To which I respond, "I have no idea. We're walking there right now. C-ya."
We finally decide on a good spot. And even though Magic says at least FIVE times that we're dancing "THAT way" (towards the fountain), somehow when we actually do it, I end up facing that way yet everyone else is facing a different way. Since I don't look at other people when I'm dancin', I don't notice anything until Jamillah's voice penetrates my dancer bubble, prompting me to jump next to her. Luckily, I quickly recover and the rest of the dance goes flawlessly. And with that last uncomfortable leg-split, it's all over. Everyone scatters.
Unfortunately, I was sooo hopped up on Tylenol (ZZZZZzzz) at our final meeting (Wednesday night) to be articulate in any way, shape, or form SOOO... I'll just say Goodbye here to our graduating seniors: Yeny (Chocolate Bomb) and Imani (Brooklyn Bomb). I met you two during the Fall of my freshman year in the library and although I'm not the best at showing everyone how I feel, from Day One, you two have always been so nice to me and haven't criticized me for being who I am. I love you both, and I'll be very sad to see you go; it's so unreal, especially since I didn't realize until a few weeks ago that you were both seniors. And as you already know, you've contributed sooooo much positive energy to not only the BOMB Squad but to our on-campus community as a whole. I wish the two of you all the luck in the world after graduation. That said, PEEEEEEACE!
After performing, I go back home, change, and head over to ALLiES' Beanbag toss table and relieve some of Jai's stress. Most of the time I'm there I spend playing EXTREME DANCE-OFF FRISBEE with Ambika while the Black Violins play in the background. I've gotta say, it's definitely the most fun & acrobatic frisbee match I've been apart of. Ambika throws in some moves from her ballet arsenal while I unleash my one-armed front handspring combo, a HOT move I've actually NEVER tried before. Once Ambika's off on her merry way, Kim and I sit back and chillax while (a definitely NOT drunk *wink-wink*) Adler wanders over and crawls around the table. Strange. Before we pack up, I actually try the beanbag toss, and I knock all the bottles down on the first try and then I extract revenge on the rest of the bottles when I'm done! *sigh* I HEART SPRiNGFEST--next to Mardi Gras, it's one of those times when you can just be as crazy as you wanna be and no one says anything.
