And The Oscar Goes To... CHIPOTLE (2.04B) (Previously UnAired)

Date of Production: 01.27.2006
Theme Song: "Wings (G&D Remix)" - Theme from Brokeback Mountain

Earlier tonight, I take my Professor Udden's advice and go to see Capote at the Majestic. All I have to say is... it sucks ass! ASSSSS I say! And it's not for the reason that some think. The director intended for the audience to hate the main character, Truman Capote (played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman from My Boyfriend's Back), but I found the movie poorly misguided: the supposedly comical segments were NOT funny at all and all the real drama doesn't show up until the end of the movie courtesy of the man who is barely onscreen.

Plus, throughout the whole movie I'm trying to figure out if this cold, effeminate, hypocritical, bigoted asshole is gay... or has cerebral palsy. Maybe it's a mixture of both. What can I say? More often than not in Hollywood, you get yourself a bad gay--Buffalo Bill, Norman Bates, that chick from The Player's Club... I guess I'll just have to disagree with Udden, Jake, Matt, Molly, and Bronwyn. Whateva', that's what I do.

Dos Madres!

Later on, Sean and I watch MTV's True Life special, "I Have Gay Parents." It turns out, Sean actually went to school with a guy who had lesbian parents. And NO, he did not grow up to be the unibomber! :) I'm surprised at how open-minded Sean is. It's such an awesome thing... very rare nowadays... but awesome nonetheless.
