Theme Song: "Fight For Your Right to Party" - The Beastie Boys
Let's see, I wake up extra early (around 6:55AM) to prepare for my roommate's arrival. So right at 7 o'clock I hop out of bed and into the shower. As soon as I do I hear Sam, one of the RA's, say, "You're the guy from New York, right?" Oh--crap! I know exactly who she's talking about--Sean and his parents have arrived. And of course since I don't bother taking clothes into the bathroom, I just have to greet them wearing nothing but a towel. Great first impression, James!
By the time I return to the room, Sean's parents have already had their nasty way with it, hoisting up crates and rearranging furniture. Luckily, they don't touch my stuff. Sean's parents seem really nice and they're full of smiles the entire time they unpack his stuff for him. His mom, as was mine last Friday, is a bit clingy, but his dad is the total opposite.
Oh yeah, I guess I should actually talk a bit about Sean. Sean's from Babylon, New York (Italian community) and he's a big Football fan. He's tall (probably 6'2") and he has a broken leg (a lacrosse injury). Surprisingly enough, he actually listens to some of the same music I do--some Bon Jovi, some Madonna, some Michael Jackson... Good stuff. I'm sure we'll get along just fine--I just hope he isn't a total slob. After being informed that I'd have be sharing a room, I've mutated into a total neat freak 'cause I refuse to let him see that dirrty side of me. We're not married, y'know!
In terms of wall decoration, he has already put up some "interesting" posters to say the least (see above). I'm sure the room will look perfect once I put something on my side. A Britney poster, perhaps? We'll see.
